so-kind.jpg  Is it Wednesday already?!

Here is my submission for this morning’s SCS Sketch Challenge.   This card wouldn’t have come together without the friendship of Vicki B (justcrazy on SCS).    I have been searching all over for 1/2 pearls.  I’ve been to Michael’s, ACMoore and JoAnn’s without luck.   Well, yesterday I opened my mail and this is what I received:

vicki-rak.jpg  would you look at all those 1/2 pearls???    Vicki rocks!!   So, I decided to use her gorgeous card as inspiration for today’s SC card.    I feel very honored to have received such an awesome RAK.  WOW!

It was a great mail day… I also received this cutie pie from Tracy (LodiChick):

tracy-rak.jpg   My DH did some work in Tracy’s new kitchen and she sent this as a thank you.   Well, Tracy, it was our pleasure…. sharing talents is what life is all about :).

Ok, here is the deets on my card:

Stamps:  Baroque Motifs (SU)

Colors: Basic Gray, Basic Black, GP White

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, SU Craft White

Accessories: ribbon, 1/2 pearls, oval punch, HPH square clip, dimensionals

dropping-a-line.jpg   Happy Wednesday, Ya’ll

Today’s sketch challenge was a toughie for me…. how about you?   I guess it didn’t help that I was hell bent on using this new stamp set from Joann’s $1 spot.   The image and assembly gave me fits!   After it was all put together (quite hastily I might add as I am uber busy this morning!), I do like the final result.  I also used my new border punch from Fiskars.   I think the wavy look is perfect with this adorable fishie!

I was visiting with Tracy (Lodichick) the other night and she had all the new Joann’s stamps… what a great selection!  Of course, I just *had* to have them, too!   They’re a new addition at Joann’s, so if you haven’t seen them already, check them out next time you’re there!

Here’s my deets:

Stamps:  Joann’s $1 spot stamps

Colors:  Night of Navy, Certainly Celery, Bliss Blue, GP White

Ink: Brilliance graphite black, copics

Accessories: brads, ribbon, dimensionals, Fiskars border punch, scissors, bubbles EF

TFL!~ and have a blessed day!

pullin-for-you.jpg  Good morning, ya’ll….

Here is my submission for today’s sketch challenge.   The image/sentiment is from a new (to be released tonight!) mini set from My Favorite Things (www.mftstamps.com) called I’m Pullin’ For You.   Such an adorable bunny, don’t you think?!  The image is colored with copics and then highlighted with a white gel pen (overalls and hat).

I have to thank all of you who have been praying for me and my family… prayer goes a long way and we certainly know it is helping!   We still have a few hurdles to get over, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.   We are thankful for the blessings we receive!

Here’s the deets on my card:

Stamps:  My Favorite Things’ I’m Pullin’ for You

Colors: Only Orange, Green Galore, GP White

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, copics, white gel pen

Accessories: brads, ribbon, dimensionals, swiss dots EF

so-loved.jpg   Good Morning ;)

Today’s Sketch Challenge card is dedicated to my Granny (Alla Mae).   I just found out that my Granny is moving from Colorado (where she lives with my aunties), to Maryland (to live with my cousin).   Although it’s a scary thing… moving a 92 yr old away from her home, it’s a great thing for me as she will be MUCH closer to me.

Here’s what i did for this card.  First mat (Certainly celery) was aged with a little Tim Holtz Tea Bag distressing ink.  Second layer (Eggplant) was stamped with Hero Arts French Script.  Main panel - image stamped on Memory Box DP twice and the flowers buds were cut and mounted on the first with dimensionals.   I’m really diggin this card.  Can’t wait to send it off to my Granny!

Here are the deets:

Stamps: Roses by Anita’s; French Script by Hero Arts; Sentiment from So Very (SU!)

Colors: Basic Black, Certainly Celery, Elegant Eggplant, Ruby Red, Memory Box Dps

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, copics

Accessories: brads, ribbon, dimensionals, scissors.  (I challenged myself again to NOT use scallops!)

TFL!~ and have a blessed day!

welcome-home.jpg  Oh Happy Day!!

What a great morning!!  I was allowed to sleep in a bit (6:30am)  and when I awoke I was given the awesome news that my ‘adopted’ son, Brigam, will be arriving home from his Mexico mission trip on Friday!!  What a great way to wake up :)

So… I checked out the sketch challenge today… pretty cool one!    I have been waiting in anticipation to use my new “Congrats All Around” set (to be released tonight at the big party!) from My Favorite Things (www.mftstamps.com).   If you have scalloped circles punches, you are going to want this set!  It’s a big set with lots of images.   Wait til you see the other samples the girls have come up with… soooooo cute!

For my card, I went with male(ish) colors for Brig.   I did use scallops, but Brig is a MAN and can take it…lol.   I even cut the door on the house so that it is open.. and inviting.   The sentiment is handwritten.

Here are the deets:

Stamps: My Favorite Things’ Congrats all Around

Colors: Basic Black, Basic Gray, GP White, Memory Box DPs

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copics, black fine tip marker

Accessories: brads, black velvet ribbon, HPH ribbon slide, slit punch, oval punches, dimensionals.

TFL!~ and have a HAPPY blessed day!

slop-til-you-drop.jpg  Happy Wednesday, ya’ll :)

Can you believe I made my card for this morning’s Sketch Challenge without ribbon??   I can’t!  I had every intention of putting ribbon on this card, but as I assembled .. it just didn’t work.  So sad… lol.   I am such a ribbon freak.

Anywho.. this morning’s SC177 is very cool… lots of possibilities.  I love the big panel in the center.  I’ve been wanting to make another card with this image and this new sentiment for days.  I {heart} this shopping pig by Hambo Stamps (www.hambostamps.com).

I’ve got to take a kid to the doc this morning, so I’ll leave this short.   Noah took a header off his bike and wasn’t wearing a helmet!  He thinks since he’s nearly 16 that he is invincible.  Ssheeeeesh!

Here are my deets:

Stamps: Sale Pig and sentiment by Hambo Stamps

Colors: Watercolor white, Gp white, basic black, regal rose

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copics, white gel pen (accents on her bags)

Accessories: brads, dimensionals, scalloped oval punches, swiss dots EF, scissors

TFL!~ and have a blessed day.

lets-do-tea.jpg  Good Wednesday to ya’ll!   Today’s challenge (sketch) looked a bit intimidating at first.  To me, it felt out of balance, so I made mine into a 5 x 5 square card.   I chose this adorable set from Inque Boutique.   The tea cup is paper pieced with Jersey Shore Dp and pumpkin pie, then the image is stippled with a little pumpkin pie ink.  I cuttlebugged 1/2 of the bliss blue layer with swiss dots (positive), then the other side with swiss dots (negative).

I made this for a new friend that I had coffee/tea with only once and would love to do it again!   You know who you are….. Lisa! LOL

Today’s forecast is for 75 degrees and sunny this morning, so Dh (who is off today) and I are going for a nice walk!  We’ve decided to start a new trend!  Wish me luck! LOL

Here’s the deets on my card:

Stamps:  Tea cup by Inque Boutique, sentiment is handwritten

Colors:  Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie, Bliss Blue, Jersey Shore Dps

Ink:  Brilliance Graphite Black,  blue fine tip marker; pumpkin pie

Accessories: brads, ribbon, dimensionals, cuttlebug, circle punches, designer label punch

TFL!~ and have a blessed day!

a-birthday-bunch.jpg  Tonight’s the night!  It’s going to be a wild wild party in the Member Forums of My Favorite Things on Splitcoaststampers.   Come join the fun between 9 - 11pm EST.

Just about the time I started getting use to stretching my image to fit my cricut oval, the mailman arrived today with a box for me from Kim at My Favorite Things.  Oval punches!!   Ok, I knew Kim was the best, but her timing is impeccable!  That box wasn’t opened 5 minutes before I started punch punch punching!

I made this card for today’s Sketch Challenge on Splitcoaster.  The frame was stamped in Chocolate chip on Regal Rose, then the flowers were stamped in brilliance graphite black and colored in with my white gel pen.   This is probably one of the quickest, easiest cards I’ve ever made and I’m loving it :).

Here’s the deets:

Stamps: Punch a Bunch and Sassy Sayings by My Favorite Things (www.mftstamps.com)

Colors: Close to Cocoa, Regal Rose, GP White, Berry Bliss DP

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Versafine White, gel pen

Accessories: brads, ribbon, dimensionals, oval scallop punch

TFL!~ and have a blessed day!

top-dog.jpg  This morning’s Sketch Challenge on Splitcoaststampers is a great versatile little sketch.   I’ve used this (or similar) many times and really enjoy it.   I saw the sketch late last night and decided that I should sleep on it, instead of stamping the night away.  Good choice.. I actually got a good night sleep for once!! Yahoo!!

So, in the light of the morning, I went downstairs with the sketch in my head.   I stood in the middle of my studio and looked around.  I did get quite a bit of cleaning done yesterday, I’m happy to report, but it’s left me with a bit of stamper’s block.  Yes, you heard me right.  I had no clue where to go with this.   This is case in point that I work at my best in chaos.

I finally decided to use “Farley” again.   I {heart} this stamp!!  I’ve only had it a few weeks and have made 3 cards with it already.  In fact, my son Levi asked me this morning why I was using it again.  I thought.. how curious of a question.  Can I only use a stamp once? LOL.

Anywho, I made this for my hubby who is running the show on his current job.  He could use a bit of encouragement as he is now Top Dog!

Here’s the deets:

Stamps:  Farley by Whipper Snapper Designs (Anna Wight - Designer) and Starstruck (SU!)

Colors: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Cool Caribbean, Designer DP, GP White

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copics, white gel pen

Accessories: star brads, brown velvet ribbon, circle punches, scissors, swiss dots ef, dimensionals

TFL!~ and have a blessed day!

natural-hello.jpg  G’morning :)…..  It’s a two-fer morning!  First, I really love this morning’s Sketch Challenge on SCS!  The sketch is right up my alley.. lots of layers, and of course, I added a couple more just for good measure.

Last night I was watching a show on Nickelodeon with the boys.  The girl on the show was wearing a shirt with these colors and it was soooo cool!   I get inspired in the strangest ways, sometimes.

So, without further ado.. here are the deets on this one:

Stamps:  Natural Beauty by SU!, Floral BG (SU!) and Essential Sentiments by MFT (www.mftstamps.com)

Colors: Wild Wasabi, GP White, Regal Rose, Purely Pomegranate

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Regal Rose, Copics

Accessories: white brads, white organdy ribbon, circle punches, scissors, swiss dots EF, ticket corner punch, dimensionals

                                                     A Dirty Challenge

youre-a-good-egg.jpg  It was a dirty challenge, but someone(s) had to do it!   This month’s Dirty Dozen/Dirty Dozen Alumni challenge was to make a springy card (without cuttlebug, nesties, etc), using the stamp(s) designed by other Dirty Dozen/Alumni - OR- use a card from a DD/DDA gallery to inspire a card.

Well, I did BOTH!  I used this adorable bedazzled egg by Whipper Snapper Designs (Anna Wight-Designer) AND I used this sketch by WAXYO (Meg Shumaker) as inspiration for my sketch.   I stretched Meg’s sketch a bit to make it into a tall card measuring 8 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches (fits into a #10 envelope).

Here’s the deets on this one:

Stamps:  Whipper Snapper Designs (Anna Wight-Designer),  Eggstra Special Easter (chick) by My Favorite Things’, Dotted bg by Impress, Inc.

Colors:  Wild Wasabi, GP White, Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Pumpkin Pie, Copics, White Gel pen

Accessories: checkered ribbon, stickles, circle punches, dimensionals

TFL!~ and have a blessed day!
