For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 [niv]
It’s no secret that Easter is my most favorite holiday. I love the memories of my youth at Easter. The frilly dress, patten leather shoes, bonnets!
Here are a few priceless photos from the late 60’s
First pic is my whole family. The next is me and my two brothers. And the last is a hysterical picture of me. Get a load of that hairdo! I think my mom made my dress.
I’ve been poked and prodded and tested for the last 5 months. And more to come. Today, I weighed myself for the first time in months and I’ve lost nearly 60 lbs!
Today I’m sharing a card made from the new release, A Man of Knowledge. This set is suitable for both men and women. This card was claimed immediately by my aunt, whose boss is leaving their employer for bigger and better pursuits.
I had a little fun with this. The Craft Consortium papers are so beautiful. But this girl had to think outside the box. I wanted the books to have an ombre appearance, so I cut the cover off the pad and used the gradient across the top.
I’m slowly gaining strength after months of agony. It is an especially great feeling to get back to the studio a little bit each day. Today I’m sharing a card made with Stamp Simply’s new set Happy Day Iris.
The Spring release is 5 new sets and 2 new die sets. All are going to be favorites!
I purposely left a space between Happy and Birthday so I can write ‘ belated ‘ there. I had intended to send a birthday card to one of my aunts, but ended up in the hospital 3 days before.
If anyone has notice, I’ve been out of the game for nearly 4 months. I have had numerous illness and a 3rd fall. I can hardly believe the long list of illnesses, broken ribs, I spent 11 days in the hospital.
This week, I’m sharing a lighthouse card. Great card for a guy (or a girl)!
So, it’s been awhile since I posted. So much happening, but I won’t go into that openly. I’ve truly missed being in my studio, but I’m climbing back in!
About 18 months ago, I was invited to rejoin the Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen for a 6 month term. I was so thrilled! I’m going to share some of the cards I made with my Stamp Simply stash.
I love Christmas, but it seems to come earlier each. Some of my friends are already listening to Christmas music and decorating. Now it’s not an issue for me. Since the boys have their own families, we decorate no sooner than the day after Thanksgiving and since our place is tiny, we generally stick to our tree.
I’ve been laid up for several weeks. I took a nasty fall and aside from that, I’ve been in for Ultrasoung (thyroid) and xrays. Now I’m just trying to regain my strength, though I’m still using a walker. It’s been impossible to get in to my studio!

I think this is one of the most clean and simple cards I’ve ever made!
I love lighthouses. At one point I had a collection of lighthouse pictures. There is something mysterious about them. They each have a story. I love a good mystery!
The Graphic 45 8×8 pad, Catch of the Day, pares perfectly with the two new lighthouse sets.
